At Rosa Gardens we combine experience with qualifications and training, meaning true expertise is provided.

Whilst many garden companies can boast of years of experience, many do not have the qualifications to match. In some cases, it is true, experience is all that matters. For example, someone with years in the business will know the best conditions for individual plants to thrive. However, for more complex jobs a ‘scientific’ qualified approach is needed.

Procedures & Best Practice

At Rosa Gardens we are certified by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to follow such principles. Our Level 2 Certificate in the Principals and Practices proves we have the practical knowledge needed to treat your outdoor space with the upmost care and respect.

Pesticides

Pesticides can be complex. How they impact the health of not only your plants, but humans and other living creatures that may spend time in your garden is critical information. That’s why it is a legal requirement for any individuals using pesticides in: Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Industrial and Amenity, on or near water to possess a valid pesticide certificate.

Those operating without such certificates are operating outside of the correct and safe regulations. We posses not only PA1 but also PA6. These certificates accredited and authorised by the ‘The City and Guilds’ guarantee that when using Rosa Gardens, you can be confident these sometimes-dangerous chemicals are being used correctly and safely. Only impacting your garden and home in a positive way and taking good care of the environment at the same time.

Chainsaws and Cross-Cutting

Power tools such as chainsaws are not to be taken lightly. Not only to humans, but to the outdoor space you are trying to build and support, not destroy. That’s why we take great pride in our ‘The City and Guilds’ accredited NPTC Level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting. This industry recognised CS30 means you can have faith in not only our safety measures including maintenance, sharpening and safe starting. We are experts in cross-cutting of timber. Meaning those trees and shrubs stay healthy alongside being beautiful.

Vehicles

This includes all our vehicles being ULEZ compliant. On top of this we only use the latest Stihl Petrol Machinery. This helps us to use 20% less fuel. Meaning the strain on natural resources is minimised alongside a reduction in the harmful by-products.

Machinery

To minimise the harmful by-products even further, our machinery also helps to produce 70% less emissions than conventional machinery. Meaning even less pollution and more confidence you are playing your part to support our beautiful earth.

Composting and Recycling

Additionally, we compost and recycle as much of our waste as possible. Alongside our composting, we strongly advise and help to get any of our clients set up and ready to begin their own composting journey in their outdoor space.

Supporting Local Communities

Part of our commitment to our Carbon footprint, is wherever possible, our use of Handmade British tools.

These tools will have a lower carbon footprint due to the procedures used in creation, alongside, them needing to be transported considerably less before purchase. However, we not only take pride in this due to its effects on the environment. We love supporting British businesses and the British economy. One of our key partners is Bulldog Tools. A British manufacturer of gardening and agricultural tools based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England.

The company was founded by William & Henry Parkes and established in 1780 at the Clarington Forge site in Ince in Makerfield, near Wigan, then in Lancashire. Bulldog Tools is one of the oldest businesses still existing in the Wigan area today, still producing products on the same factory site as originally intended.
